5th international Kino Kabaret Berlin

Dear all,

only one more week to go before the launch of the 5th International Kino-Kabaret Berlin 2008! This year’s event will take place in the open art space Kunstetage from September 5th to 13th.

Thanks to those who already sent their application form. If you have not registered yet, please complete the application form and send it back to us (don’t forget to rename the file). We need to know how many guests will arrive so that we can accommodate you all in our private homes as usual.

Friday, September 5th, 8:00 pm: Welcome meeting

Saturday, September 6th, 10:00 am: 1st round starts (production meeting)

Monday, September 8th, 10:30 am: 2nd round (production meeting)
Wednesday, September 10th, 9:30 pm: 2nd screening

Thursday, September 11th, 10:30 am: 3rd round (production meeting)
Saturday, September 13th, 9:30 pm: silent screening (with live music) & closing party

REGISTRATION & PARTICIPATION FEE

**for participants who will be hosted in our private homes in Berlin, please bring your sleeping bag along with you

1st round: 10€
2nd round: 15€
3rd round: 15€

The participation fee includes:
1. food and refreshments (we will serve cold meal only)
2. free entrance to public screenings in Movimiento
3. free access to the Production room/Kinolab in Kunstetage
4. your personal ID badge (with photo)

FOR NEW PARTICIPANTS

If this will be your first Kabaret, you are more than welcome to take part in a creative week of 48 & 72 hours filmmaking! Last year’s Kabaret was fantastic and we’re looking forward to repeat the experience again, this year with participants from new countries!

ABOUT FILM EQUIPMENT

For those of you who will bring film equipment to the kabaret, please specify in the application form what you will bring: camera, laptop, lighting equipment, sound equipment, etc.

If you will bring your camera, please inform us which format: mini-DV, HD, HDV, super 8, etc.

Before you start sharing your expensive gear, don’t forget to label them ALL by placing nametags.
