We have come a long way since meeting in Paul´s living room at the beginning of 2006. Comfortable and all as that was, people seem to find it easier to meet in a public place like the Akademie der Kunste and the Apple Authorized Training Center in Berlin .
More people are coming these days. The days when people used to sit passively and listen to stuff being presented are over. And when there´s a break then every one starts talking at once.

The final BUG site has been transformed from a grave yard to some thing useful. The forum where we had more spam than anything else is also gone. So we have got a Blog these days. This helps us, stay on top of the latest developments in our industry. We had for example in September 2006 our first ever IBC report courtesy of Jakob and Paul.

The site was recently plagued by an invasion of bad ware. Updates and the extract of a line of code from the sites MySQL dump (of course). Followed by a “Viagra” purge of the user data bank. Saved the day. And now the site is once again safe from nasty little robots.

There is once again a new site in the making. Planned is a site which gives users the option to make a profile with built in video and calendar functions. In other words – a pool of post specialists with their reels online and dates when they can be booked! This can get really geeky with producers looking for freelances on their iPhone in the back of a taxi thanks to the final BUG site! And all this for free. Thanks to open source soft ware such as Plone.
As always suggestions and feedback welcome.
